Just Jammin’ January!

Every month just gets better and better – add a little bit of ear surgery into the mix and you have one very interesting month.

Did you know that otolaryngologists can remove those tiny bones in your ear, repair them and then re-insert them? I’ve always loved my ENT, but I have a much greater respect for Dr. Dansby now. I cannot imagine the steadiness of hand required for that kind of surgery!

So many cards in my mailbox this month. The record day was 23. Lots of fun round robins – especially one in the All About Women thread. If you go to the post “Jetting…” you’ll see the details. It’s a project still in progress and I’ll hate to see it end.

I resolved to go back to captioning my cards and have kept that resolution! It took forever, but I need to give credit where credit is due. You may see some forum names that are unusual. “Eyes Closed” is a fun group where you take 2-3 handfuls of cards from different themes and just scamble them. Then you close your eyes and draw the number of cards you need. You send those cards to the people on the list in the order that you draw them! Others are pretty much evident as to the theme.

Two are round robins that I “host.” That means I do all the virtual “paperwork” for the group – maintain addresses, send out addresses when groups fill and moderate the thread. Mine are Hotels/Inns/Restaurants/Diners. It’s a small group and I hope it will grow. The other is bigger – “Black & White.” That’s pretty self-explanatory. Great group and we have lots of online giggles – you can do that!

I loved January and I hope you enjoy it, too!

What’s in your mailbox?
